The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo officially opened the 2023 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday (16/2/2023). The number one person in Indonesia is scheduled to tour the hall to visit the motorcycle and car exhibition booths.
The Indonesian automotive industry has very good prospects and grows significantly every year. Car sales in 2022 will reach 1,048,000 units and motorcycle sales of 5,221,000 units.
As a record, the lively implementation of IIMS 2023 presented a total of 145 participants, with 45 participants being brands of four-wheeled, two-wheeled and electric vehicles. Carrying the theme BOOST (Bringing Opportunity for Automotive Society Together), IIMS 2023 provides a meeting place for business people, communities and consumers, in fact IIMS has become a new ecosystem chain for the Indonesian automotive industry.
We appreciate the Indonesian automotive industry which has succeeded in increasing exports by 100 percent. We are pushing again for higher automotive exports.
